The lines of the membrane switching circuit are arranged using X and Y matrices. A variety of functions can be achieved including low profile Leds, backlit Leds and other lighting requirements, resistors and potentiometers.

The membrane Switch is an indicator element and instrument panel for an integrated operating system. It is composed of four parts: panel, upper circuit, isolation layer and lower circuit. When the film switch is pressed, the contact of the upper circuit deforms downward and contacts the plate of the lower circuit. When the finger is released, the contact of the upper circuit bounces, the circuit is disconnected, and the circuit triggers the signal.
